Stockton’s New Media Voice:
How Zach Hulsey Built Stocktivities

At just 19 years old, Zach Hulsey has built Stocktivities into one of Stockton’s fastest-growing digital media platforms, reaching over 70,000 followers on Instagram and continuing to grow across TikTok. What started as a page posting local clips and updates has turned into a consistent hub for Stockton’s raw, real-time culture.
Zach began developing the page around 17, driven by the idea that Stockton needed to represent itself. Instead of relying on outside narratives, he focused on capturing what was actually happening in the city—posting everything from viral moments to local news and day-to-day activity. That consistency helped turn attention into a loyal following.

As the platform grew, so did the vision behind it. Working alongside platforms like Orepark, Stocktivities has begun expanding beyond just content into a developing brand. That growth is reflected not only online, but in real-world presence as well, including a Stocktivities billboard placed in Stockton.
Looking ahead, the goal is to expand into a wider network that represents different parts of the city while staying connected under one platform. At its core, Stocktivities represents a new wave of media—built from within, driven by consistency, and connected directly to the culture of Stockton.
